J Plasma treatments are generally separated in to two category areas; body and face (including neck).

Depending on the area being treated, the method used for the procedure can vary slightly.

For example, procedures carried out on the body can be under the skin to restore definition, whereas neck and face procedures tend to be external to resurface and tighten the skin.

However, a combination of both internal and external treatments are possible.

Procedures can be carried out under sedation, local and general anaesthetic depending on the area being treatment. Generally the larger the area, the bigger the procedure and therefore general anaesthetic is used.

J Plasma produces visible results almost instantly.

Within hours after leaving your clinic you will see the difference to your skin texture, tone and elasticity.

Only one treatment is required per procedure and results can continue to develop up to 2-3 months after as skin continues to tighten and forms new collagen.

How The Technology Works

J Plasma Renuvion uses innovative technology and machinery to tighten the skin by forcing it to produce collagen.

Helium gas is energised using radiofrequency energy in an ionisation process, which is then moved over certain parts of the skin that are being targeted for treatment using a precise piece of equipment.

As the machine passes over the target area, the skin is tightened.

Plasma is neither a solid, liquid nor a gas, instead plasma is what is created when enough energy is given to helium. It can be used to melt down tissue within the body so that it can be removed and sculpted to create a more defined figure. For example, removing stubborn fat from problematic body regions – such as arms, stomach, flanks, neck and chin.

J Plasma is known for producing similar results to that observed by traditional facelift surgery, but without the side effects and downtime recovery.

Recovery & Side Effects

Recovery from Renuvion procedures can take between two to three weeks depending on the extent of the procedure and the target area.

Larger body parts generally require more downtime and patients will feel more symptoms than that of smaller target areas.

Patients should expect to experience symptoms for up to three weeks post treatment. These can include:

• Dry skin
• Peeling skin
• Mild pain
• Redness
• Swelling
• Itching
• Bruising

Medication can be taken to curb symptoms if at any point you feel uncomfortable. However, symptoms are very rarely severe and patients can usually return to regular light activities after two to five days.

It is common for patients to experience a ‘tight’ feeling in the area that has been treated as the sensation post treatment is different than before.

In addition, compression wraps can be worn day and night in the immediate recovery phase to help with the healing process and ensure a more comfortable resting / sleeping state.
