Stage 1 – Your First Enquiry

Your journey begins the moment you reach out. Whether it’s through our online form, a quick call, or even WhatsApp or social platforms, you’ll be connected with a dedicated patient support team member who will be your point of contact throughout.

They’ll listen to your concerns, answer your initial questions, and arrange your free consultation at a time that suits you.

Booking a Free Online Video Consultation

Scheduling your free online consultation is quick and simple. Once your booking is confirmed, our friendly patient support team will send you an email with all the details you’ll need to prepare for your first initial video consultation.

If you have any questions or need help at any stage of the booking process, our patient support team is just a call away on 0161 507 8822 — we’re here to make the journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Stage 2 – Initial Free Video Consultation with a Consulting Doctor/Surgeon

At Manchester Private Hospital, our FREE video consultation makes it easy to take the first step towards your transformation — from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

You can speak directly to one of our experienced team of Patient Experience Co-ordinator Consulting Doctor/Surgeon through a secure video call, receiving the same personalised and supportive care you’d expect in person.

We understand that every patient’s journey is personal, which is why you can choose between a video consultation or a face to face consultation — whichever makes you feel most comfortable as a step one. Appointments are flexible, so you can book a time that fits around your schedule. * Your cooling off time period will start from the first consultation that you had with us.

What Happens During Your Initial Video Consultation

Your first video consultation is a chance to:

  • Learn more about the procedure(s) you’re considering.
  • View exclusive before and after photos from real patients who had surgery with us previously.
  • Discuss your personal reasons and expectations in a safe, judgment-free space.

Our dedicated Patient Advisers will:

  • Explain the patient journey from consultation to recovery.
  • Talk you through costs and finance options.
  • Recommend the most suitable surgeon based on your goals, procedure type, and preferred location.

Our dedicated Surgeons/Doctors will:

  • Explain the procedure in more details
  • Will discuss associated risks and complications
  • Will identify whether you are a suitable candidate for the planned surgery

How to Get Ready for a Video Consultation:

Complete your online medical history online before attending. The link to complete the medical history wil be in your email that you used to make an inquiry with us.

Upon completion of your online consultation, if you are provisionally suitable for the planned surgery, you will be invited to attend a face-to-face appointment for an in-person, with the surgeon or doctor you had a video consultation with. A re-confirmation of your suitability and the best procedure for you will be discussed with you. Upon booking your face-to-face appointment, you will receive an email & text confirmation, just to remind you.

There’s absolutely no pressure or obligation to book surgery after your consultation — our role is to provide clear, honest advice, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions at your own pace.

Stage 3 – Free Face to Face Consultation with a Surgeon

Your consultation is where we take the time to understand you.

You’ll meet one of our experienced surgeons — either in person at our Manchester Hospital or via secure video call — to discuss your goals, medical history, and expectations.

We’ll explain the different procedure options, outline the benefits and risks, and answer every question you may have. You’ll also have the opportunity to view before & after photos from real MPH patients and hear about their experiences.

How to Get Ready for a Video Consultation:

  • Find a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable discussing your goals.
  • Use a device with a camera and good internet connection for clear communication.
  • Have your questions ready so you make the most of your time with the surgeon.
  • If discussing a specific area of the body, ensure you can comfortably and privately show it on camera if needed.

What to Bring for an In-Person Consultation:

  • Photo ID for patient records and verification.
  • Medical history details, including any medications, allergies, or past surgeries. The medical summary from your GP will give all the details.
  • A list of questions or concerns you’d like addressed.
  • If you wish, you can bring a friend or family member for support.

Whether online or in person, your free consultation is all about making you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in your choices — with no pressure or obligation to proceed.

Stage 4 – Your Personalised Cosmetic Surgery Plan

If you decide to move forward, we’ll create a clear, bespoke treatment plan.

This will include:

  • A breakdown of your chosen procedure(s)
  • Your full cost, with no hidden fees
  • Payment and finance options
  • Surgery date scheduling and preparation guidance

We’ll make sure you leave this stage knowing exactly what to expect.

Stage 5 – Preparing for Surgery

We want you to go into surgery feeling calm and confident. That’s why we arrange a pre-operative medical assessment and any required blood tests ahead of time.

Your pre-operative medical assessment may include:

  • pre-operative medical assessment with nurse either face to face or over the phone
  • Bloods tests
  • ECG
  • MRSA Swabs
  • Psychological assessment with one of the Doctors if required

Your patient coordinator will also give you practical advice — from lifestyle changes (such as stopping smoking) to what to pack for the day.

This stage is all about preparation, reassurance, and making sure you’re physically and mentally ready.

Stage 6 – Surgery Day

When you arrive at our Manchester Hospital, our friendly reception and nursing team will welcome you and guide you through the final steps before your procedure.

Your surgeon will go over your consent forms and review your surgical plan one last time.

From there, you’ll be taken to the theatre, where your anaesthetist will ensure you’re comfortable before your surgery begins.

After your procedure, you’ll be monitored closely in recovery before being discharged the same day or after an overnight stay, depending on your treatment.

Note: There is no waiting area for friends or relatives so we will request our patrons to be dropped off and collected when they are ready to leave.

Stage 7 – Recovery & Aftercare

We believe great results come from great aftercare.

You’ll receive detailed post-op instructions covering wound care, compression garments, activity restrictions, and follow-up appointments with the nurse at 1 week, 2 week and with the operating surgeon at 8-10 weeks.

Our 24/7 support line is always available if you have concerns, and you’ll see your surgical team regularly to ensure healing is on track. We’ll also give you personalised scar care advice to help you achieve the best long-term results.

Stage 8 – Your Results

Patience is key — your final results will become more visible as swelling reduces and tissues settle.

We’ll take before & after photos to document your transformation and celebrate your progress with you.

This is often the most rewarding stage of the journey, where you can fully enjoy the benefits of your surgery and the confidence it brings.
